1583 Catullus. (Elmer Truesdell Merrill - editor). Catullus.
Cambridge, Massachusetts. Harvard University Press. 1951 Hardcover Very Good with no dust jacket
12mo - 19 x 12.5 cm.; l - 273 pp. Gray cloth over boards with black lettering on spine. First published in 1893, this is the Harvard re-issue. Extensive footnotes, a critical appendix, and two appendices (proper names and notes) grace this scholarly edition. The inside is very clean with a tight binding. The externals show only mild shelf wear with the exception of the lower fore corner of the front board and a wee bit on the same corner of the first dozen or so pages, where it would appear that an alien Borg on leave from Star-Trek Voyageur, attempted to assimilate the contents, foundered on the Latin and the associated intricate footnotes causing the robotic nano-infestation to reach a resistance that was indeed not futile though the attempt was. The classics have always triumphed and will continue to do so. 23263
