1501 Carrick, Carol and Donald. The Blue Lobster: A Life Cycle.
New York. The Dial Press. 1978 0803744838 Hardcover Very Good- in Good dust jacket
8vo (oblong) - 21.5 x 22.5 cm.; Unpaginated with thirty two pages. Pictorial cloth over boards with a matching dust jacket. First published in 1975, this is the second Dial Press printing. The text is by Carol Carrick and the illustrations are by Donald Carrick. This is the library binding with a inner linen hinge. The pictorial cloth shows some minor 'bubbling' or lifting that I would suggest is a binding fault. Otherwise the book is very clean and sound. The dust jacket shows moderate edge wear with small chips, closed tears and associated creasing. 22597

1557 Catullus. (Elmer Truesdell Merrill - editor). Catullus.
Cambridge, Massachusetts. Harvard University Press. 1951 Hardcover Very Good with no dust jacket
12mo - 19 x 12.5 cm.; l - 273 pp. Gray cloth over boards with black lettering on spine. First published in 1893, this is the Harvard re-issue. Extensive footnotes, a critical appendix, and two appendices (proper names and notes) grace this scholarly edition. The inside is very clean with a tight binding. The externals show only mild shelf wear with the exception of the lower fore corner of the front board and a wee bit on the same corner of the first dozen or so pages, where it would appear that an alien Borg on leave from Star-Trek Voyageur, attempted to assimilate the contents, foundered on the Latin and the associated intricate footnotes causing the robotic nano-infestation to reach a resistance that was indeed not futile though the attempt was. The classics have always triumphed and will continue to do so. 23263
