Winnipeg, Manitoba Winnipeg Free Press Hard Cover Very Good+ in Very Good- dust jacket
8vo - 20 x 12.5 cm.; 256 pp. Green/blue cloth with black lettering on spine. DJ (unclipped and in Brodart) shows moderate wear to the edges and folds. A collection of a few editorial pieces and essays which appeared in the Winnipeg Free Press in 1955-56. The Winnipeg Free Press, during that time period was a bastion of independent thinking founded in the deep roots of prairie ruggedness. There is a discard stamp on the bfep. Discarded from what - I have no idea, though there are probably many who would want to discard papers such as the Free Press, but fortunately, they have not won - yet. It actually says discard from the Milford Public Library though there are no signs of library acquisition in the book. It just gave me a chance to ramble.  2112
